Located at 3143 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, CA 95117, Must Be Thai operates as a thai restaurant serving San Jose in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under asian restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Jose, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Jose is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

MUST BE THAI is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai street food. The menu has a great variety of interesting dishes, the service was fast and friendly, and the location is convenient with plenty of free parking. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge after a long flight. I only got to visit during a short vacation in California, but I wish I lived nearby so I could come back often. If I'm ever in California again, MUST BE THAI will definitely be on my must-visit list!

The best pad thai Iβve had in a while! The noodles were springy with just the right amount of chew, and the flavor was perfect. The Penang curry was creamy and flavorful and hit the spot! The pixel wings were perfectly fried and came with a delicious sauce. We also got the Loco Coco dessert which was a fun time. I enjoyed the lychee and jackfruit that came with it. Will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful restaurant and clearly very popular. We were here to celebrate my cousin getting engaged (a cousin-only bachelor party) and we're a party of 6 and then 7 once his fiance arrived. They seat once everyone has arrived but 6 of us were there and started while she was still at work. They had a tablet at the entrance to check in if you put yourself on the wait list. I love Asian cuisines but this was only the second time I've had Thai food so wasn't too sure what to eat. Due to autism sensory issues, lack of spice tolerance, and inability to eat turmeric due to gallbladder problems, it came down to only one dish I could eat while everyone else at the table shared various dishes. I ordered what was essentially grilled pork over rice with a sweet red sauce and a side of crispy pork belly. It was delicious and the pork belly was definitely an interesting experience. The service was great and attentive, restaurant had great vibes, and there was Godzilla on a mural inside. I probably wouldn't come again just due to my weird food restrictions, but I definitely recommend for other people that don't have similar restrictions.

Love coming to this place for their menu is categorized by delectable regions of Thailand. Our server John was very courteous and attentive with us and made us feel like we were at home. It was my birthday and ordered the Hang Leh curry, which is the more underground northern Thailand curry, reminds me more of Indonesian Beef Rendang or French Bourguignon; yet its more tangy from the tamarind, sweet with the palm sugar, zingy from the ginger and turmeric, savory with the tender pork, and highly aromatic with shallots, lemongrass and garlic. The Tom Kha is always a great starter with the creamy tangy coconut broth, and herbaceous spring rolls with the savory peanut sauce, and the complementary birthday dessert of stacked, honey-glazed fried dough a lΓ‘ mode was a nice touch accompanied by a birthday song. Overall experience was a 5/5.

Had a great time at Must Be Thai! Food was delicious and the service was good. Tom kha and the Green Curry were on the spot. Sticky rice was served in cute traditional basket. Over all a great experience!
